Our Chattanooga office is located at 7407 Ziegler Road, just off of Gunbarrel Road. We offer fertility treatments and hormone therapy at this location, as well as routine gynecological care. Our embryology lab is located in Chattanooga, and all egg retrievals and transfers for IVF patients are performed here. An on-site lab is available for testing/analysis.
Both Dr. Bird and Dr. Donesky see patients at our Chattanooga office.
Fertility specialist in Chattanooga.
Joey Bird’s first intended specialty was retinal surgery, but a rotation with a reproductive endocrinologist while attending East Tennessee State University’s James H. Quillen College of Medicine changed his mind. He “fell in love with the patients and the way the doctor became a part of their stories.”
His four-year residency began in 1990 in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology within the Chattanooga Unit of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. A two-year fellowship followed in the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division at the University of Louisville School of Medicine’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Of his work as a fertility specialist, Dr. Bird says, “Every case is interesting and rewarding in its own way. I’m never bored.” Throughout treatment, he encourages his patients to find hope. He says, “Successful outcomes require the ability to count on something you can’t see."
Fertility specialist in Chattanooga and Knoxville.
Barry Donesky graduated from Loma Linda University Medical School in Southern California in 1987. Following his graduation, he completed a two-year internship followed by a three-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Loma Linda’s Medical Center. In 1991, he began a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Maryland at Baltimore.
During his residency, he prescribed a fertility medication to a patient. It worked, and he was hooked on what he calls a “happy specialty” and has never looked back. Dr. Donesky divides his time between Chattanooga and Knoxville, serving as a fertility specialist at both of our locations.
His gentle, understanding nature and dedication to his patients make their journeys to fertility a little bit easier. “Taking care of patients and fanning the sparks of hope—that’s the bottom line for me,” he says.
