Kenny & Nannette Ivey

“It’s a Miracle” is all we can think as our beautiful baby girl is being born one month and one day early. It seems like she has been waiting on us as long as we have been waiting on her, and she can’t wait any longer. Praise be to God from whom all blessings flow! My (Nannette’s) journey to being her mom started when I was a five-year-old girl praying for my husband and children, always knowing I wanted to be a wife and mother. It was too unfair when fertility problems plagued my life with hypothyroidism, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and insulin resistance.

One day while crying out to God, He spoke to me and told me that I would have a daughter and that I was to name her Rebekah Anne. Little did I know, it would take nine years of clinging to my faith before that promise was fulfilled by way of a divorce from an abusive marriage, the discovery of the man God wanted for me, and the help of Dr. Donesky and the wonderful staff at the Fertility Center. We conceived on our second round of IVF treatments, and Rebekah Anne was born beautiful, healthy and ready for the world.

We haven’t been able to conceive again yet since our most recent IVF with 3 embryos did not result in a pregnancy, but we have one more embryo to go and will try again. We must say that the journey, pain, tears and prayers are worth it when you finally hold that little one in your arms! If we are only blessed with Rebekah Anne, we cannot complain and will be ever grateful and thankful to God. Thank you, Fertility Center, for your knowledge, friendship and support. And God bless all in your journeys to parenthood.
